VI DE PANSES with ALBARIÑO VERTICAL and CHEESE PAIRING

Date: Sun, Apr 23, 2017
Time 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Venue: Check in at Bokisch Vineyards Tasting Room, 18921 Atkins Road, Lodi, CA

Don't miss this one time opportunity to celebrate the release of our 2015 Vi de Panses along with a guided vertical tasting of our libraried Terra Alta Albariño.

We are releasing our new Vi de Panses at this tasting event. This late harvest wine is called Vin de Paille in France.  It is produced by letting our Albarino grapes stay on the vine longer than usual, drying the grapes on racks to concentrate their flavor, and finally aging it 18 months in stainless steel before bottling. The results are a beautiful amber nectar that can be enjoyed as an aperitif with cheese or as a dessert wine. We produced so little of this labor intensive wine that we don't even have enough to offer it in our wine club shipment. Guests at this special event will be the first to have the opportunity to taste and purchase our 2015 Vi de Panses.

Markus Bokisch has pulled 2008, 2009, 2012, and 2015 Albariño bottles from our library and our newest production, 2015 Vi de Panses, to take you on a taste journey while sitting in the middle of the vineyard where these wines were grown. Liz Bokisch and winemaker, Elyse Perry worked side by side with Cindy Della Monica of Cheese Central to choose a cheese pairing for each of these wines. As a special treat, we'll all go on a short walk through the vineyard with Markus and Liz back to the winery to get an insider's view of the winery facilities.

We are limiting seating to 50 to keep this gathering intimate and informative.  Tickets are $50/person, $40/club members
