It displays aromas of dried rose petals, fresh mint & dark juicy fruit. Hints of plum and boysenberry linger on the nose. The palate expresses juicy ripe cherry, dried raspberries, with a hint of berry pie and white pepper.
Opens up with aromas of blackberry, dried thyme, pumpernickel bread, fig and dusty earth. It graces the palate with blackberry juice, smoky blueberry, toasted vanilla with a savory briny conclusion. It finishes long and smooth with dry weighty tannins.
This is the first vintage of Old Vine Carignane produced by Bokisch Vineyards. We initially brought it in as a blending grape, and were so impressed by its depth of flavor and aromatics that we decided to bottle this 2017 vintage.
Aged for 36 months in new American oak, this Zinfandel is truly one of a kind. It features enticing aromas of pomegranate juice, anise, and cedar with flavors of unripened strawberry, cranberry, and boysenberry jelly.
This wine has a dark, deep, purple color. Its beautiful aromas of blackberry, cassis and quince paste combine flawlessly with its silky, smooth flavors of blackberry syrup, maple glazed bacon and candied apple.
Flavors of jammy forest fruit, mango and meaty bacon balance the natural acidity with black pepper spicy notes and a touch of cedar. This wine has a long finish with medium tannins and a trace of new oak.
