Markus Bokisch and his Vines
Markus Bokisch is Owner/Winemaker at Bokisch Vineyards and Bokisch Ranches, a vineyard management company with over 2500 sustainably farmed acres.
Markus grew up in Southern California and spent every summer visiting family on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. A graduate of UC Davis with a degree in Plant Pathology and International Ag Development, Markus is, at his core, a dirt guy. He understands the history of the soil and is a steward of the future provisions that will grow from it. This explains his passion for sustainable farm management. Strong ties to his Spanish heritage combined with his love of farming have found the perfect outlet in Bokisch Vineyards wines.
What you probably didn’t know: Markus enjoys restoring his ’67 VW Bus and sailing in regattas with the Stockton Sailing Club.

Bokisch Ranches grows beautiful winegrapes in the Lodi Appellation for Bokisch Vineyards and many other clients.
Winemakers come to us looking for the best quality fruit grown in the most environmentally sensitive way. With over 2500 acres of winegrapes and dozens of varieties, we partner with small and large wineries located in many wine regions including Napa, Sonoma, Marin, Amador, Santa Cruz and Lodi. We customize our farming practices to match our buyer's needs.

Each vineyard in the Bokisch Ranches portfolio is planned, planted and pampered to maximize the quality of the fruit. Markus is meticulous about maintaining healthy vines that produce exactly what each winemaker is looking for.
