Tizona by Bokisch Label
Late Harvest Graciano 2016 Image

Our delicious Late Harvest Graciano continues to establish itself as a permanent addition in the line up of wines by Bokisch. It has a dark, deep, purple color. Its beautiful aromas of blackberry, cassis and quince paste combine flawlessly with its silky, smooth flavors of blackberry syrup, maple glazed bacon and candied apple. The balanced structure allows the sweetness to come through without being overpowering. Liz suggests pairing it with a young Manchego with Spanish Membrillo (quince paste) or pouring it over French vanilla ice cream.

Malbec 2015 Image

Our 2015 vintage is our third year of producing a Malbec. It has a dark red color with violet hues. Complex aromas of dark cherry, strawberry fruit leather, black licorice and a touch of smoke, combine with wet earth and pine needles. It has plush mouthfeel with luscious and silky tannins and ends with a bright lingering finish. Juicy flavors of blackberry, sweet fruit and savory mince meat pie are followed by a hint of fresh mint. This incredibly unique wine continues to be a staff favorite. Liz suggests pairing this with grilled Teriyaki Chicken skewer-sor duck tacos with Hoisin sauce.

Old Vine Zinfandel 2015 Image

This beautifully balanced old vine zinfandel is our first production from the Süess Vineyard. It is deep red in color and entices the nose with fruity mouthwatering aromas of ripe Santa Rosa plums, Chambord Liqueur, nutmeg, cardamom and hints of sage. Flavors of jammy forest fruit, mango and meaty bacon balance the natural acidity with black pepper spicy notes and a touch of cedar. This wine has a long finish with medium tannins and a trace of new oak. It will continue to age beautifully and it’s great acid will keep it fresh on the palate. Liz recommends paring this with Parisian style steak and “frites” with a black peppercorn white wine sauce.
