Let’s take a trip to Spain! No, seriously, we’re planning a trip to Spain and you’re invited to join us! We travel with our family to Spain every year. Now, for the first time, we are asking club members to come along for the fun.

What we know at this point

The tour will likely be 7 days with us, Markus and Liz Bokisch, as your hosts. We will visit 3 wine regions, the fishing village where the Bokisch clan spends our summers, the unique Delta of the Ebro, and many other fun and interesting places that are not on any typical tourist path. We promise there will be paella and other great food, there will be wine (lots), there will be memories that you’ll never forget. The itinerary will begin and end in Barcelona and guests will make their own international flight arrangements. This will give everyone the flexibility to extend the trip.

Two Tours

In order to limit the group to 20 people, we are planning two separate tours:
Tour #1 April 16-22, 2018
Tour #2 April 23-29, 2018

Note: Sant Jordi Day, April 23, is a big festival in Barcelona.

Details are coming

We are working on the details of the itinerary. So far, we are planning to spend a day in each of three wine regions: Penedes, Terra Alta and Priorat. Each will include wine tasting, interesting sights and non-stop fun facts from Markus’s bottomless reservoir of wine information! We are also trying to fit in visits to a castle and ceramics market, the beautiful Monastery where Markus’s parents were married, the fishing village that they call home, a behind the scenes visit to an olive oil mill, a cooking demonstration, a fish auction, shopping, and all our favorite restaurants.

If you are interested in joining us

We plan to have pricing and a detailed itinerary in August.  We will ask for deposits in September with two more payments throughout the year. To help us gauge the level of interest, we’re asking that you fill out our RSVP form to let us know you are interested. This will greatly help us make the appropriate plans.
